Where you get paged
Where you get paged lists the ways Oncall reaches you: SMS, Slack and WhatsApp. Linking Slack tells Oncall who you are there.
Slack
Open Profile → Where you get paged. Next to Slack, click Connect. This signs you in with Slack and links that Slack account to you.
Use this when your Slack email is different from your Oncall email. A linked account always wins over matching by email.
Once linked, Slack shows Linked. Unlink appears when you linked Slack yourself; an email match needs no action.
Sign in as the right account
Connect signs in with the Slack account you are using at the time. Be signed in to Slack as the account you want to link.Other accounts
SMS shows Always on, or No number until you add a phone. If your admin has not connected Slack yet, Slack says so. WhatsApp has Turn on and Turn off, or shows “Coming soon” until it is switched on.
