Webhooks

For admins

Raise incidents from any tool that can send JSON. You need to be an admin. This is how you connect a tool Oncall has no built-in connection for.

Add a connection

Open Settings → Integrations → Webhook and click Add connection. Name it and choose the team to page. Oncall shows a webhook URL and a secret, once only. Copy the secret when it is shown. If you lose it, rotate it and update your tool.

Send an alert

Send a POST request with a JSON body to the webhook URL. Put the secret in the X-Webhook-Token header.

curl -X POST "https://api.oncallhubs.com/webhooks/in/<connection-id>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "X-Webhook-Token: <secret>" \
  -d '{"title":"Checkout API failing","severity":"SEV1","status":"firing","dedupKey":"checkout-api"}'
