Help Center/Responding to incidents

Incidents list and board

The Incidents page is the home for every incident. It has two views, a list and a board. This article shows how to use each.

The list

  • Tabs: Open, Yours, Resolved and All, each with its count. Yours lists the open incidents assigned to you.
  • Each incident is one row: severity, title, reference, team, age, where it came from and the responder. Where it came from is shown only for incidents from a connected tool, such as Slack, Grafana OnCall or Webhook. On a phone, a row shows only severity, title and age, with the status or Acknowledge on the right.
  • Rows that need attention have an Acknowledge button. With a mouse, it appears when you point at the row.
  • The search box and the All severities dropdown are always above the list. Search looks at title, reference, team and responder. The dropdown shows one severity only.
  • Open and Yours are split into Needs attention and In progress (acknowledged).
  • It refreshes every few seconds.

The board

The columns are Unassigned, To do, Active and Done. Drag a card to assign, acknowledge or resolve it. If a move isn’t allowed, the board tells you why, for example “Resolved incidents can’t be reopened.”
