Who's on call

Use this article to see who is on call right now, who takes over next, and what work is waiting. You can find it in two places: Home and the On-call page.

On Home

Home shows On call now in its right-hand column. On a phone it comes below the incidents. There is one line for each schedule: the person on call, a You tag if it’s you, then the team and schedule (for example “Payments · Primary”) and until when. A schedule with nobody on call says “Nobody on call”. Below the list, Next handoff shows the soonest change: who takes over, on which schedule, and from when. Click a line to open the calendar on that schedule. The Who’s on call button at the top of Home opens the On-call page.

On the On-call page

The On-call page shows On call now as a table with three columns: Schedule, On call and Next. There is one row for each schedule. On call says who it is and until when; Next says who takes over and from when. Oncall shows handoffs that fall within the next 14 days. A schedule with nobody on call is listed as “Nobody is on call”. Your own name has a You tag. Click a row to open the calendar on that schedule.

Live

Below the table you will find Live: every incident that isn’t resolved, as one row each. The rows are grouped into Needs attention and In progress (acknowledged), most serious first.

Each row that needs attention has an Acknowledge button, so you can take an incident without opening it. With a mouse, the button appears when you point at the row. There are no filters or sort: the list is short. Resolved incidents drop off it.
